I don’t think tagging would work. Uploaders probably haven’t been able to notice these issues in their pictures it their first place and I don’t think other users would be able or willing to do the job for them.
If the uploaders aren’t able to notice the issues, then they’ll upload their images even if they’re rule-breaking. If people aren’t willing to tag the problems, I’d assume they’re also not willing to report them. So then what’s going to happen to those images?
At least if tagging is the solution it can be implemented without putting a huge burden on the moderators.
I’m also wondering if it would be useful to have a rate limit for new users. E.g. limit users to one upload per day for their first month.

Thank you for the rules update, it looks more reasonable now.
As for the quality checks, it looks fair to me now, assuming these issues without skulls won’t be deleted most of the time.

This is an improvement, but the quality rule is still too vague for my liking, and I believe it to be at least mostly unnecessary:
If something has six fingers, tag it. If something has a “ghost” signature, tag it. Repeat for other issues. Then people who don’t want to see those things can filter them out. Why wouldn’t that work? You can even stress the importance of quality-related tags in the rules, and provide a global filter with the common ones.
Spam needs to be dealt with independently of quality - if a seasoned creator discovers Tantabus, we don’t want them burying everyone else’s images under 200 uploads, even if everything they upload is great.

Regarding the “style copying” rule, let’s say there’s an artist who wanted their original art to be used in machine-learning/-training, and models based upon it were then used to create new images. I realize these would be exceptionally rare, but would they not also then be somewhat exempt from this rule?
I know the intention of the rule, and it’s correct that we certainly wouldn’t want to tarnish any artist’s reputation. But I’m also aware of artists who are embracing the new technology (or at least trying to), to see where it can take them, and I’d hate for US to miss out on seeing where they’re going.
Quick thing about quality checks: can we still prohibit images where the anthros have six (or more) fingers on each hand? Boy oh boy, am I sick of seeing that silly little quirk.

Unrelated, but I was trying to figure out how to insert horizontal lines in posts and just figured out that --- and ___ are how you do it. As far as I can tell, this isn’t documented in the detailed syntax guide or in the syntax quick reference.

We’ve made a few changes to the rules based on feedback and internal discussion. Note that these aren’t “clarifications” to make the text clearer, but changes to intent that will also affect moderation.
We’ve also updated the “AI Quality” page to simplify it and clean up the language.
The tl;dr on the changes are:
  • “Style copying” only affects when the style is mimicked perfectly, so much so that an average person would confuse the image with being an original from the artist. This is to prevent impersonation or affecting an artist’s reputation (for example, people pretending they’re the artist to take commissions as them, or creating images of a controversial nature to create fake drama).
  • Reminder that tagging is important; if you can prompt, then you can tag.
  • Non-AI images can be uploaded, but these should have some relation to AI (tutorials, sketches, speedpaints, etc.)
  • Quality checks simplified significantly
    • Initial rules and quality checklist was based off derpi’s requirements for AI Composition
    • These do not apply here; generations are allowed to have faults so long as they’re not just “trash”
    • Multiple examples removed, language made clearer to new intent, “acceptable” examples removed to avoid clutter
    • Simple rule of thumb: If it looks like a 2022-2023 Craiyon image from the thumbnail, it’s probably going to get deleted

This site is still a WiP, and we appreciate any feedback you have.

One of our registration related services was down for a while, but should be back and working again (tested now to be sure). It’s possible Privacy Badger isn’t liking reCaptcha, but that’d be odd as it’s a fairly popular thing… That or the browser is out of date and reCaptcha fails it, I’m not sure.
@Background Pony #7E45
We’ll import images slowly over the next few days to not flood out other uploads.

So, upload of AI images on Derpibooru is disabled now, but there’s a plenty of images uploaded since December 7 and some of them are missing on Tantabus. Will there be another sync of all uploads over the past week?

Go to the upload page, you’ll see the top box that instructs you to read the site rules and check the do-not-post list, same as it is on Derpibooru. Link to the site rules works but link to the DNP list does not.

The DNP list is also currently missing
Lowkey feels like a ‘do not post’ list doesn’t vibe with this site. Having one kinda gives ‘we’ll do takedowns’ energy, and honestly, no one should be uploading artists’ work here anyway.
I legit can’t find the link you’re clicking. Can you show me where you’re seeing it?
Ohhh, the new image upload page—got it. Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll check if we can get that removed.

Image upload page says:
Read the site rules and check our do-not-post list
Don’t post content the artist doesn’t want here (or shared in general), including commercial content.
I guess “creator”, not artist. If DNP is even a thing here, that is. Copyright doesn’t apply to generated images (good), but it could apply to stuff like ai composition, which is more creative.

For some reason, the site’s svg favicon appears to be the derpi one. The ico one is correct.

Is there a way that Faved ai-generated images on Derpi can automatically be favorited on here when you create your account? I don’t want to waste time rebuilding all my favorites.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
