There could be a market of people who would rather pay other people to make AI-generated pony-related images for them. People who don’t want to spend the time to learn the intricate ways of coaxing the best images out of a generator, or don’t want to put their money directly into a website that does image generations. Pay someone who’s already familiar with how to manipulate the software.

While we certainly appreciate the proposal, I think that what we have currently is okay and can just deal with the problem people as they arise.

The DB upload limits on AI (2/day as I recall) were straight up moral panic, since people could just as easily spam-upload their entire scanned sketch book or 50 different angles of their 3D scene. The specific targeting of AI was misguided, but the idea upload limits wasn’t without merit.
I’d like to propose a less restrictive (and fair) version for tantabus. It would help people fight the temptation to upload every generation from a session, and save viewers from seeing a wall of similar images when they first load the site. It shouldn’t feel punitive or be something that most people would run up against in ordinary usage, though. Maybe 10 / day?

We will add badges, yes.
Sorry things are slow, life is a lot.

I’ve talked with the staff about this and there aren’t any… yet.
(still waiting on my ‘usually puts in more than the bare minimum’ badge)

I’m curious to know… what kind of badges are there on this site? and how do you get them?

This will mostly be used to highlight features specific to Tantabus, or that could be relevant to all users. For most updates and feedback you should check the thread on derpi, as that’s the primary for Philomena development.
Now with that said…
[March 19 2025]
- New search and tag suggestions
- Go to Settings and Metadata (Fancy tags) and Local (search auto-completion) to enable
- This will autosuggest tags as you type so long as they exist on an image
- This will show if a suggestion is aliased
- For searches, you can set to also keep search history
- CivitAI post scraper
- The upload “Fetch” function now supports CivitAI
/posts/#
URLs- This will grab the images under a given CivitAI post, and you can select which to use
- Direct image URLs aren’t supported (API limitation), but every image is part of a Post, even if it’s just one
- Fetch still uses “artist:” instead of something more appropriate… we’ll work on that

Yes, though we plan to vector them at some point to be proper SVGs.

Thank you, I was sceptical if I should get any response about it (since I was worried I might have sounded rude), but it’s really great to hear that it was approved.
I’ll be able to put more detailed tags now that I don’t have to worry it being worth to “waste an edit slot” as before. Your lift of the limit and the tagging tool are a godsents.

There are some account limitations to avoid “vandalism”; unfortunately the automatic “check if they should be exempt” triggers are mostly based on image uploads.

Your account should not be subject to those limitations anymore.
Additionally, you should have access to the batch tagging tool (click, get popup to a prompt to do
tag1, tag2, -tag3, tag4
, click on all images across gallery / search pages, submit).Thank you for your help with tagging, and please let us know if you have any more questions or concerns!

I’ve been editing the tags in the pictures for some time and it has become a real chore to need to wait for the next day when backlog of pictures gets higher than my ability to edit them (even if I only edit the feral ones). Is there any way to remove that limit to trusted tag editors?
I think 500+ changed tags that are valid (even if we make 10% wrong as the benefit of the doubt) should be enough to get me enough trust to give someone unlimited tag edits.

Honestly, if there’s one thing Derpi/Philomena desperately needs, it’s parent/child posts.

One guy posting ~20 assorted images of different characters and poses from one artist throughout 3-4 hours pales in comparison to the bimonthly Kevinsano hotdrop on derpi…

No daily limit, but avoid “spamming” (eg. dumping 20 alts of the same concept in an hour; spread things out).

Quality is much more relaxed than derpi’s “ai composition” tag, but errors (ghost signatures, messy hands, limbs a bit too long, etc.) should still be tagged for those that filter them, and images with really bad errors (like extra limbs) might be removed.

I realized i never asked, but is there still a limit on how many uploads you can do a day like on derpi? Or now just the quality standards?

The nightly dump, which contains all the information needed to import, would have been downloaded already, so there is no need to worry.

Ah, okay, because Derpi has already purged a large number of AI generated images (all but a handful of mine are gone), and would hope that the comments could at least be salvaged.

Maybe split the tag in minor generation errors and major generation errors? Minor gets a pass while major is hidden by default?

This would be an example of minor errors. Window frame is not complete, slightly weird angle and headboard directly at window.
For major errors we have a few examples in my first post.
To use a tag like “low quality” low quality need a proper definition for AI. If I draw a quick doodle of stick figure ponies it would be “low quality” for a human. Most models have a very high “quality” by default if properly utilized.
These are 3 examples were in my opinion a “low quality” tag would be appropriate. The minimalist style was obviously not intentional and the weird body proportions speak of someone not using the base prompts (score_9, score_8_up, …).
Here are some examples what I would consider low detail, but not low quality:
The first is stylized and the second tried to be show accurate.

I know this could be weaponized. Any tag can really. But if we not use anything that can be misused, we would sit still in caves eating meals raw.

It’s a shame people are using downvotes for things they don’t like, making votes basically useless to determine if something is well done.
Welcome to literally how 99% of people use downvotes as quality is subjective.

Default search
If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
