Regarding the “style copying” rule, let’s say there’s an artist who wanted their original art to be used in machine-learning/-training, and models based upon it were then used to create new images. I realize these would be exceptionally rare, but would they not also then be somewhat exempt from this rule?
I know the intention of the rule, and it’s correct that we certainly wouldn’t want to tarnish any artist’s reputation. But I’m also aware of artists who are embracing the new technology (or at least trying to), to see where it can take them, and I’d hate for US to miss out on seeing where they’re going.
Quick thing about quality checks: can we still prohibit images where the anthros have six (or more) fingers on each hand? Boy oh boy, am I sick of seeing that silly little quirk.

Unrelated, but I was trying to figure out how to insert horizontal lines in posts and just figured out that --- and ___ are how you do it. As far as I can tell, this isn’t documented in the detailed syntax guide or in the syntax quick reference.

We’ve made a few changes to the rules based on feedback and internal discussion. Note that these aren’t “clarifications” to make the text clearer, but changes to intent that will also affect moderation.
We’ve also updated the “AI Quality” page to simplify it and clean up the language.
The tl;dr on the changes are:
  • “Style copying” only affects when the style is mimicked perfectly, so much so that an average person would confuse the image with being an original from the artist. This is to prevent impersonation or affecting an artist’s reputation (for example, people pretending they’re the artist to take commissions as them, or creating images of a controversial nature to create fake drama).
  • Reminder that tagging is important; if you can prompt, then you can tag.
  • Non-AI images can be uploaded, but these should have some relation to AI (tutorials, sketches, speedpaints, etc.)
  • Quality checks simplified significantly
    • Initial rules and quality checklist was based off derpi’s requirements for AI Composition
    • These do not apply here; generations are allowed to have faults so long as they’re not just “trash”
    • Multiple examples removed, language made clearer to new intent, “acceptable” examples removed to avoid clutter
    • Simple rule of thumb: If it looks like a 2022-2023 Craiyon image from the thumbnail, it’s probably going to get deleted

This site is still a WiP, and we appreciate any feedback you have.

A lot of people into AI are very, uh, “biased towards horny”.
Could be a good idea to keep this thread populated with SFW stuff you’re proud of (and maybe promote the thread around, on images or elsewhere). Plus, can subscribe to threads.

Star Streaker

@AIPonyAnon
I’d say no, there’s not anything terribly “wrong” with it. Rainbow’s forelegs look a little strange but overall I don’t see anything that’d “break” the image. The surreal style is pretty good and consistent throughout.

Yeah, I was going for overly colorful and surreal. The rainbow chest fluff was a side product of bumping the colorfulness up, but I thought it looked cool.
I’m not so much worried about it being ignored because it’s unusual, but rather that there’s some issue with it that I’m not perceiving. It not being to the taste of the users here is fine, if that is the case.

Well, it is a very unusual image of Dash. Her chest fur and mane kind of look like feathers, plus having that extra splotch of color on her chest might throw people off. Plus the color for the surrounding scenery is kind of strange and gives it a bit of a surreal look, I don’t know if that’s what you were going for or not.

Bendy and Boney

I really like this pic I generated.
It’s a reference of sorts to this weird comic that started circulating over a decade ago. It claimed to be a translation of something from an official German magazine. (it was fake, of course)
In it, Scootaloo was called Terry for whatever reason. Given that I was playing some King of Fighters at the time, I got a terrible idea. But I never really made anything until I was reminded of it recently.

Yeah, that usually works quite well. With both Pony and Noob just adding wings will usually fix it. spread wings and folded wings can help with positioning, but a lot of the time the model will just do what it wants with them.

Looking for basic errors we can see the following:
  • Cadance does not appear to have any sign of wings.
I know I use a very different model from yourself and everyone else, but one thing I’ve noticed that gets the Imagen generator to put wings on characters that should have them is to include prompts like “spread wings” or “wings folded in,” or some other prompt or detail that focuses on wings. Perhaps something similar may work with this checkpoint?

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
