I think it will depend on whether or not people actually use the site. One of the things that unfortunately failed the Derpi-alts was a lack of user engagement, since aside from maybe a few political hot potato topics there wasn’t really anything to distinguish them from Derpi proper. Fortunately, since this site is focusing on a much larger and broader content that shouldn’t be a problem.

For starters, quitting the dependency on astralite’s model. PonyV6 is good but not the only one by far. Chroma and other NoobAI models are on-par if not better for pony and anthro, and they and EasyFluff are working towards SD3.5/Flux models at the same time Astralite is working on AuraFlow.
Basically there’s this sense of learned helplessness in the pony AI community that everything depends on Astralite / purplesmart and all hope is lost without them. That’s incredibly not true.
For this site more specifically, I guess same as any other site; sharing links to it, posting something here and sourcing it when posted elsewhere, that sort of thing. And of course, just posting more stuff, yours and others, so people feel like there’s a reason to check the site at least once a day for new content.

initially I felt quite frustrated at the prospect of managing another booru for pony-related content, believing that existing filters were adequate to address unwanted material. It seems ironic, given that ponyV6 is a leading Al checkpoint and the filtering methods used on these image boards directly foreshadowed the current practice of prompt engineering.
After thinking about it maybe this is the best solution hopefully this helps concentrate and collaboration will thrive here. I hope this become a place that can pioneer ai generated art in its many forms to come!
What do you think? Could this approach help foster creativity, or are we just creating more silos for content? How can we ensure this space truly thrives as a collaborative hub?

I’d tend more towards “creator” myself, as well, if we were going to change it from “prompter”. I’d prefer to keep the two distinct, because, for example, if I drew a picture of a pony, then generated the background behind them by ai, I would both be the artist and the creator. And if it was a collaboration, where someone else drew the character, I could tag them as the artist and myself as the creator.
I’d also suggest, since this is an ai site, that at least one of the ai tags be required when uploading, the same way that you are required to rate the picture as safe, questionable, or explicit.

Hard “no”. This would just pollute the tag for images that are on both boorus. Artists are for the people who make it by hand. I’ve burned away hours prompting and it’s just an iteration factory, not like an artist.

There won’t be an automatic import of those as the script doesn’t like dupes, but I’ll manually import the ones that are missing when it happens.

Agreed. Those seem very much like “I wanted to upvote this twice” or “I wanted to explain my enthusiasm for this image with more than a click could convey”. Useful for those who use them, but no one can agree what they mean or which images should have them.

Honestly, this is just extra insulting.
Images that fail one of the criteria listed further down may to be deleted.
“may to be”
Practically all the examples of errors listed below could be be spotted and fixed before upload
“be be”
These sort of artifacts commonly appear on the the corners of an image
“the the”
Artifact on plant leave is clearly not a detail related to the plant.
“leave” should be “leaf”
Extra limbs, miss-sized torsos or limbs
“miss-sized” should be “mis-sized”
Pinkie’s left forelg vanishes into her apron or just missing entirely.
“forelg”
Big Mac’s arm would be unnaturally long, particularly as it’s wouldn’t be straight.
“it’s wouldn’t be” should be “it wouldn’t be”
Bad hands, too many fingers, things bending how they shouldn’t, weird bumps… Stylization is OK, fleshblobs are not.
“Stylization” shouldn’t be capitalized
AJ’s fingers aren’t great, but they’re not obviously wrong or the close to being the focus of the image.
Extra “the” before “close”
Weird eyes, extra nostrils, mouths that just aren’t right, eyelashes and eyebrows that are blobs or simply broken… There’s a lot of small things that can go wrong here, but given how important the face is, they have a lot of impact; faces are important!
“There’s” shouldn’t be capitalized
Iris / pupil shapes aren’t perfect, but not too bad either. Vague muzzle outline is again OK for cartoonish styles. (and AI really likes four freckes…)
“and” should be capitalized
“freckes”
The two characters on the left are noticeably low quality, and the Flutershy clone on the right is a mess.
“Flutershy”
That beach hair would snap immediately, and one of the supports o the back vanishes.
“hair” should be “chair”
“o” should be “on”
The outline isn’t bad or crunchy, and the weird eyes tears likely intentional.
“eyes tears” should be “eyes/tears”
For a fashion magazine cover, the focus would be the photo/model, so fake “ponish” language is fine. and the big magazine title text is OK; however, the smaller text is mostly just chicken scratches.
“and” should be capitalized
The sign at the top isn’t too prominent or seems important
Nonsensical/contradictory

All in all, I think that page is too low quality and you should delete it.

Got a request from Derpibooru to copy it to here:
@Local Sugar Provider
PLOT TWIST: Imagine you post real art in Tantabus, but it get deleted because its not real ai pictures

Yes we are aware, they’re not exactly high priority and incredibly hard to find them all due to the wildly varying names, it’s not really worth the time to seek them all out when we barely know what they all mean. Feel free to share the ones you find, but we will not likely be seeking them out en masse.

Speaking of so many….
it seems that all the “-betes” or other character specific tags that implied “cute” aren’t implying either the character or “cute.” Just a heads up.

Since we’re still allowed to upload ai generated images on Derpibooru until the 14th, and those will stay until early January, will any future images be imported from Derpibooru? I ask because I still posted some both over there and here, and was wondering if what I already have uploaded would be overwritten by a future Admin import.

I exist
@IWTCIPP
Not trying to start drama or anything, but prompters aren’t the same as actual artists.
a prompter calling themselves an artist when all they really do is type prompts is quite disrespectful to human artists.
but that’s just my opinion

I disagree. Besides the fact that it would be odd and confusing (especially when Derpi will be keeping the prompter tag), I don’t consider myself an artist. I’m just a guy playing around with a program for fun.

My go to has been Google Imagen 3.0
https://deepmind.google/technologies/imagen-3/
It’s a text to image model similar to Bing and DALL-E. Rather than using Gemini, I’ve been making images via the NightCafe creator studio. This checkpoint is very good at making ponies and anthros, and has a pretty solid idea of what the majority of characters are supposed to look like.
There are some issues with secondary characters, however, but there is an odd quirk about it: if for, example, you ask for an image of Big Macintosh, it will give you a pony that looks nothing like Mac. However, if you ask for an image of Big Macintosh, and then describe what he looks like, it will give you an image that’s pretty on point.
The checkpoint is also kind of weak when it comes to non-pony characters or creatures, such as Diamond Dogs, Buffalo, Griffons, and Yaks, and basically requires a bit more prompt tweaking to get them to come out close to the MLP style. However, it does have a good handle on Zebras and Dragons, and is able to fairly properly output images of those in the MLP style.
One other issue it has with creating anthros and some ponies is that sometimes simply describing their race (ie unicorn, pegasus, etc) isn’t enough, and will have a tendency to produce unicorns without horns or pegasi without wings, so you sometimes have to add in an additional prompt with things such as “glowing horn” or “spread wings” or some other descriptor of unicorn or pegasi elements to get it to stick properly.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
